At Middleton Primary School we embrace any sporting opportunities and events within the local community and beyond. This is the place to find out what we have been up to and where we have been.
Come and Try Rugby Session
Friday 14th October 2022- Mr Craig and Mrs Tissiman took 10 Year 3 and Year 4 children to the Hunslet Club to a "Come and Try" Rugby session with other schools also participating.
The children thoroughly enjoyed learning the fundamentals of Rugby League and set an excellent example on how to behave when learning the fun drills at the same time. All children had big smiles on their faces and some even wanted to pursue this as a hobby!
Cross Country Event
On Tuesday 18th October, 8 Yr 5 children went to The Clearings at Middleton Park for the School Games Cross Country event. All children ran a mile and did really well, showing great resilience and stamina. Girls team - Lacie Crocker came 12th, Liana-Faye Littlewood came 21st, Skyla Burton 39th and Harper 41st . Boys Team - Arely Bradshaw came 22nd , Bailey Smith 32nd , Riley Howson 34th and Jackson Heppner 36th .
